The not-for-profit Canberra Cyber Hub announced today the appointment of Dr. Vicki Gardiner as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Dr. Gardiner joins the organisation following her role as the Canberra Branch Manager of the ACS.
Before taking the reins at Canberra Cyber Hub, Dr. Gardiner was the Canberra Branch Manager for the ACS, where she made significant strides in promoting science.
Her dedication was honored by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute in 2012. Beyond her leadership roles, Dr. Gardiner has been a driving force in advancing educational and employment opportunities within the STEM fields.
The Canberra Cyber Hub described Dr. Gardiner’s appointment as a “powerhouse” addition to their team.

Dr. Gardiner’s impressive background includes authoring the Tasmanian Women in Engineering Strategy and leading a project aimed at helping women transition into ICT roles.
Her work has garnered recognition from the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, and she has held several senior board and management positions.
In her new role at Canberra Cyber Hub, Dr. Gardiner will oversee operations and help drive the Hub’s mission to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive cybersecurity industry in Canberra. With backing from the ACT government, the Hub is dedicated to expanding the city’s cybersecurity sector.
