Locally owned Technology provider, Brennan, has bolstered its core service offering to aggressively take on global providers and become the largest Australian owned Systems Integrator, following its successful acquisition of listed technology business MOQ Limited (ASX: MOQ).

The acquisition, finalised by the courts yesterday, makes Brennan the biggest privately-owned local player in the market, and positions it to grow market share by not only matching, but exceeding, the offerings of the large international IT companies with the addition of dedicated data analytics, digital transformation, and consulting capabilities.

Founder and Managing Director, Dave Stevens said Brennan was pursuing both an aggressive organic growth strategy as well as a focused acquisition strategy, and exploring a number of capital raising options, including the potential to list on the ASX in the next 12-18 months.

“Brennan’s clear differentiator is that we are local, have great people all over the country and are able to tailor local solutions to overcome issues unique to Australia,” Mr Stevens said.

“We are working with the Queensland Government to enable the Rural Water Futures (RWF) program; helping the RWF team to design and develop an improved Rural Water Management system that will help to give Queenslander’s confidence that their water resources are being managed fairly and responsibly.”

“The MOQ acquisition and the recent Clade Solutions acquisition means we can provide even better services to our clients, with local experts who are highly skilled in data analytics, business transformation and consulting.” he said

Following the completion of the MOQ acquisition the company will be on track for revenues of $275 million in the next 12 months and will service more than 1,400 customers across Government, Enterprise, and Business sectors including Aurizon, HammondCare and BG&E,

As part of its end-to-end systems integrator offering, Brennan will form a new division, Brennan Digital, which will include new capabilities from the MOQ and Clade acquisitions to help customers progress their digital transformation journey.

Mr Stevens said he now expected Brennan would continue to achieve double digit growth in the next year, based on the Australian business community’s growing appetite for data analytics and digital transformation, plus the greater reliance on outsourced IT to help companies deliver on digital strategies during the IT skills shortage.

“Spending on IT services in Australia is expected reach around $39b by the end of this year, up around six percent on the year prior, as a result of businesses shifting their focus from short-term projects to adapt to the changes forced upon them by COVID, to longer term strategic projects,” Mr Stevens said.

“The biggest driver of that growth is in business and technology consulting, which will grow to nearly $8.5b across Australia by the end of the year.

“Our expanded capabilities enable us to deliver both the day-to-day operational IT services and transformational IT solutions that are simple and easy to use.

“This is all underpinned by the strong customer-centric service that Brennan has become recognised for, and which is reflected in our industry leading NPS scores, plus our proven back-end structures.”
