Today, Louis Figueroa, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s senior director of global esports and competitive gaming, posted information about this year’s Evolution Champion Series on the PlayStation Blog.
The Evolution Champion Series, also known as Evo, holds fighting game tournaments every year, and 2022 will mark its 20th anniversary taking place in Las Vegas from August 5 to 7
Sony will also broadcast the events live via its YouTube and Twitch channels. As well as being streamed live via Evo’s Twitch channel, Sony will also host Evo Lounge, a live event covering everything from competitive video games to competitive video games.
According to the Evo Champion Series’ website, there will be eight stages at Evo 2022, with each one dedicated to a specific game and its streams. The panels, interviews, and exhibitions will be followed by matches of every game over the course of three days.
