World-leading climate change and natural capital accounting software company, FLINTpro has appointed new CEO, Tina Morris to lead its global expansion, and deliver greater transparency and credibility of land-sector environmental measurement and greenhouse gas estimation.
Morris brings a powerful mix of corporate and military experience to FLINTpro, as the former S&P Global Ratings COO, boasting 20 years with the New-York based corporation, and seven years in the U.S. Army and Military Police.
The appointment of Morris also sees FLINTpro’s headquarters shift to the USA as part of the company’s strategy to use its recent $13.5 million (US$9 million) Series A capital raise to turbocharge its global growth.
“I’m joining the company because I see incredible potential in the technology and believe deeply in its mission – to bring transparency and a credible methodology to the carbon accounting space,” said Morris.
“I share the ambition of founder Rob Waterworth and we have a mutual belief in the importance of building out diverse teams and being rigorous about the use of data and analytics in this space,” she said.
“Most importantly we have a unified vision for how we’ll continue to grow FLINTpro’s great product line.”
FLINTpro co-founder Rob Waterworth said that Tina’s appointment is a major opportunity for the business.
“Australia is a nation of innovators, but its geographical isolation and relatively small customer and capital markets have hamstrung the growth of some brilliant Australian technologies. With Tina’s appointment, we believe FLINTpro has limitless potential,” said Waterworth.
“Tina has a very clear understanding of what our customers need and her unique insights across varied sectors is invaluable.
“Our vision for the next six months is to cement ourselves as the leading platform for land sector sustainability and greenhouse gas estimation and Tina’s experience in global operations will be pivotal in delivering this. She’s got the intestinal fortitude, the strength, and the ability to make decisions and drive them.”
Waterworth will remain in Australia and continue to lead research and innovation for FLINTpro, keeping it at the forefront of innovation as it heads into a new era.
