TPG Telecom’s Vision Network, previously known as FTTB Wholesale, will provide tiered residential services across regional Victoria including, FTTB and FTTP in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and FTTN services in Canberra.

The new entity plans to surface superfast broadband to more than 400,000 residential customers across Australia with speeds ranging from 25/5Mbs to 1000Mbps and coupled with a standard monthly charge for unlimited downloads.

Jonathan Rutherford, group executive of Wholesale, Enterprise and Government at TPG Telecom says Vision Network was created as a standalone wholesale broadband company to deliver high-speed, competitive broadband services to the retail market,

“Increasing data demand makes it crucial for businesses and consumers to have access to super-fast speeds at reasonable prices.”

“Vision Network’s variety of broadband technologies and our expansive network reach make us a fantastic alternative to NBN services.” says Rutherford.

Last year, the TPG proposed to functionally separate its operations and give its wholesale arm the FTTB Wholesale branding. It also purchased Pipe Networks and TransACT’s network infrastructure as well as its own capital city fibre builds.

According to TPG, Vision Network is now ready to start onboarding new access seekers to the network and has engaged in advanced discussions with several of them and anticipates to agree to terms in the do so distant future”.

Rutherford, says Vision Network is our best kept secret when it comes to delivering superfast broadband services to customers,”

“We’re now ready to reveal it and offer more options.” he said.

In June, TPG Telecom announced a 10Gbps Fast Fibre internet service for business and enterprise customers. It also became the first Australian telco to introduce “G.Fast“, technology
