To support expansion efforts in Australia and New Zealand, Cequence Security, a prominent provider of Unified API Protection, has appointed Glen Maloney as ANZ Country Lead. With more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity, Maloney previously served as ANZ Regional Sales Manager at ExtraHop.
In his new role, Maloney will assist hyper-connected enterprises in Australia by providing market-leading protection for their API-based applications.
Maloney notes that APIs are crucial for businesses to achieve flexibility and agility, but many organisations do not have a solution that covers the entire API lifecycle, leaving them vulnerable to breaches.
He also believes that Cequence Security’s distinct approach in detecting and preventing API breaches that can result in fraud and data loss has led to the company protecting over US$1.3 trillion in assets for Fortune 500 companies and more than two billion user accounts globally.
Ameya Talwalkar, founder and CEO of Cequence Security, said, “We are excited to expand our business in Australia and New Zealand and to appoint Glen to help further our business growth across the region through working closely with our customers and partners,”
“His two decades of cybersecurity experience, insight, and work with many of the region’s leading enterprises will ensure that we can support customers to take full advantage of their investments and trust in the Cequence Unified API Protection solutions in today’s digital-first business world.”
In contrast to point products, Cequence Security provides the most comprehensive API security solution available.
Their Unified API Platform is the only solution that implements a continuous API security protection lifecycle, encompassing discovery, inventory, compliance, threat detection, threat prevention, and testing.
Maloney is excited to join Cequence Security during a critical time in the API security market, and to help Australian enterprises with market-leading protection for their API-based applications.
According to Mr Maloney, organisations need to have confidence that their APIs are providing the necessary level of secure and reliable service, and partnering with Cequence Security can support these security frameworks.
With the acquisition of new clients, such as the largest carrier in Australia and two of the top three telecom companies in the U.S. last year, Cequence Security aims to expand its business further in Australia and New Zealand with Maloney’s appointment.
