Confluent, Inc. today announced the appointment of Gavin Jones as Vice President Sales, Australia & New Zealand.
Jones brings 25 years’ experience in leadership and sales roles at fast-growth, global technologies companies. He will use this to spearhead Confluent’s growth in Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on engaging customers and empowering his regional team to inspire businesses on the potential of data in motion.
Jones joins Confluent from Tableau, a Salesforce company, where he served as Country Manager, Australia & New Zealand, responsible for developing and executing its ANZ go-to-market strategy and Salesforce integration. Prior to this, Jones held the role of Regional Vice President, Australia & New Zealand at MongoDB, where he built a high performance sales and services team, developed its partner ecosystem and secured new business with iconic brands in the region.

Prior to his roles at Tableau and MongoDB, Jones was Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand at Pivotal, Inc. (now part of VMware), and held senior sales roles at Salesforce, Good Technology, Oracle and Avaya.
Gavin is based in Sydney, Australia.
