Acer has today announced they have secured a significant contract to provide notebooks to the Department of Education Queensland Notebook for Teachers program.
Acer will provide approximately 13,000 notebooks over a six month period commencing April 2022 valued at approximately $21M AUD.
The company secured the win as part of a competitive RFQ process for phase 14 of the QED105137 contract under the Queensland Whole of Government Standing Offer Arrangement Contract (SOA).
Acer has been a long term supplier on the supplier panel to the Department of Education Queensland supplying Notebooks, Desktops and Monitors to students across Queensland public schools.
Speaking of the milestone education agreement, Rod Bassi, Sales Director, Acer Oceanic Region says, “We are thrilled to build on our existing relationship with the Department and are grateful to have been chosen to supply phase 14 of the notebook for teachers roll out.”
In 2020, Acer also won a $ 46 million deal with the Victorian Department of Education to supply teacher notebooks as part of a proactive measure against potential COVID-19 outbreaks.
It was understood the state government rushed the notebook mega-deal offering Acer a one-year contract extension and cancelling a planned procurement for a new long-term supplier.
