cubesys, a leader in Cloud Managed Services, hosted an exclusive online panel discussion on 10 September 2024. The event brought together industry experts to share success  stories and strategies for embracing cloud solutions.

The panel featured top industry experts, including  Lax Perera (IT Director, Cambooya), Daniel Castle (Executive Director, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia),  Ian Baxter (Associate Director of Delivery, cubesys), and Paul Heaton (CEO, cubesys).

They discussed  how cloud-managed services are transforming IT operations, reducing costs, and enabling innovation.

Leveraging Microsoft Technology for Growth

cubesys showcased how it uses Microsoft products to deliver cloud solutions. From secure remote work  environments to maximising IT investments through Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365, and Azure,  cubesys helps IT leaders streamline operations and drive growth.

“Having a vertically integrated Microsoft 365 stack, including Dynamics 365 and Business Central, gives  us the chance to innovate and grow,” said Daniel Castle. “For me, leading our organisation’s innovation, this is where the real value lies.”

Maslow’s Hierarchy in IT: A New Perspective

Daniel Castle introduced an analogy comparing IT operations to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. He  explained that cubesys’ Cloud Managed Services take care of foundational layers—connectivity,  infrastructure, and security—allowing his team to focus on innovation.

“As cubesys manages critical services, we’ve moved up the pyramid. We can now focus on growth  without worrying about the basics,” Castle said.

“We don’t have to think about infrastructure anymore.  cubesys has it covered. Now, we can focus on making a difference for people with disabilities.”

cubesys Cloud managed services have so far helped dozens of our clients with their own career growth  and leadership journey.

Real-World Testimonial: Success Story

Lax Perera shared how cubesys helped streamline their IT operations and transition smoothly to a cloud first approach, especially during the sudden shift to remote work.

“With cubesys managing our cloud  infrastructure, we’ve been able to remain agile, secure, and innovative. They’ve helped us address  challenges like data security and compliance, which are crucial for our operations,” said Perera.

In a recent collaboration with Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA), cubesys provided support in  customising a bot for the organisation. Suzie Stollznow, Inclusion and Outcomes Manager at SCIA,  expressed her appreciation for the impact of cubesys’ services:

“Having support of an organisation to build something like this for us, it’s been a very positive experience  and for that SCIA are really grateful that we’ve been able to get this wonderful resource.”

With our partners like Microsoft and Nerdio, cubesys’ commitment to empowering organisations with  tailored cloud solutions and deliver lasting value.

The Buzz Around Cost Savings

As businesses increasingly adopt cloud solutions, the ability to manage IT budgets wisely is critical. The panel explored how cubesys’ Cloud Managed Services can lead to significant cost benefits not just by  reducing expenses, but also by avoiding unnecessary costs associated with outdated technology and manual processes.

“It’s not just about cutting IT costs. The real value in cloud adoption is avoiding unnecessary expenses,  like maintaining outdated equipment and handling manual tasks. It’s about increasing effectiveness and  focusing on innovation rather than simply reducing costs,” said Paul Heaton, CEO of cubesys.

The panel emphasised that while cloud solutions can lead to cost savings, the primary benefit is often cost avoidance. Businesses should aim to invest in cloud services to eliminate the need for old systems  and reduce the burden of maintaining legacy infrastructure.
