WSABE is the most prestigious awards program in the Greater Sydney region and the Outstanding Start-Up award recognises businesses that have developed an effective solution to a specific market need and that have the potential to make a significant impact.

Leora Founder & CEO, Esha Oberoi, says that Leora harnesses technology to directly address barriers in mental healthcare like long wait times, high costs and physical accessibility.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our team towards improving mental health outcomes through innovation,” said Ms Oberoi.

“Leora combines the power of artificial intelligence, human-based therapy and evidence-based psychology to offer instantly accessible and effective mental healthcare.”

Users can access the online platform to chat with an AI chatbot 24/7 to manage stress and anxiety and connect with registered therapists for further support.

AI leads the Outstanding Start-Up lineup, with loan comparison platform LoanOptions.ai also a nominee in the category.

Founded by the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce in 1990, WSABE annually recognises outstanding business leaders and organisations who are actively contributing to Western Sydney’s rapidly developing economy.

This accolade is the latest in Leora’s achievements since its inception in 2021. The Leora model has received commendation as an innovative workplace initiative at the AFR 2023 Best Places to Work Awards in Australia and New Zealand.

Ms Oberoi has also been named one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices in Mental Health, underscoring her influence and thought leadership across industries.
